45 ACP AUTO AMMO

n 1899, a rebellion broke out between the Moro tribesmen in the Philippines and the United States occupation force, known as the Moro Rebellion. Tho Moro people were fierce fighters and when they came against the U.S. soldiers armed with their 38 caliber service revolvers (then loaded with 150gr bullet being pushed at 750 fps with a muzzle energy of 201 ft-lbs), the U.S. occupation force was finding it hard to quickly deal with the tribal warriors. When the Moro tribesmen would face off against the soldiers, they would use vegetation from the dense jungle and tie off their limbs to prevent excessive bleeding, should they be wounded, and take drugs in order to block out pain. This led the U.S. military to quickly deploy its resources in search of a platform and projectile that would hit with enough umph to stop these warriors in their tracks. Thus, in 1905, the 45 Colt was born. Tested by killing a cow with a single shot to the head, as a means to test its impact energy on target, this would become the caliber that would go on to win peace in two global conflicts.
