Winchester 12 Gauge 2-3/4" 1-1/2oz. #4 Shot Super-X Turkey ammo review offers the following information; This 12 gauge ammunition from Winchester is specially optimized for shooting turkeys. Each 2-3/4" shell in this box of 10 fires a 1-1/2 oz. column of #4 lead shot at a muzzle velocity of 1,260 feet per second, producing a large pellet count in a tight pattern even at extended ranges. Like other Super-X loads, these shells feature Winchester one piece hinged wads and 209 primers that contribute to good accuracy and manageable recoil. These shells fire #4 birdshot, which should not be confused with the much larger #4 buckshot.
