In 1936, a uniquely Czech line of weaponry emerged from the ashes of World War I, looking to supply a still-recovering post-war economy. CZ’s first pistol, the CZ 22, was just the beginning of their legacy. The CZ Family History
In 1936 the Czech company had begun tooling and working weaponry for the general market; police, military, broadly European government interests, and export. That was the beginning of the legacy of CZ.
The Czech arms company has a trusty weapons build, sound manufacturing procedures, and a respectable output of firearms. Things got complicated with Germany’s annexation of the Sudetenland in the late 1930s. During this time, Czechoslovakia wanted no part of the war and sought to maintain its neutrality with its neighbors. The country was largely able to get by with regular commercial trade and business with surrounding countries.
After surviving World War II, the country built their factories, and helped people get back to work. Today, the CZ name is associated with consistency, evolution, and adaptation.
