AR-15 and AK47 Slings for Sale From Pro Armory
Slings rank low on the sexy scale, when it comes to accessories. But when it comes to utility, they rank about as high as you can get. If you disagree, you’ve probably never carried your rifle outside of the basement. The bottom line: You need a sling. At Pro Armory, we’ve got two-point slings, three-point slings, and all kinds of other things. Carry your rifle easily, improve your shooting stability, and more with quality slings from Pro Armory.
If You Use a Rifle, You Need a Sling
As obvious as it sounds, when you’re carrying a rifle, you’re doing just that: carrying it. When you’ve got a sling, you’re doing less carrying and your hands are free to do more of everything else you need to do. Simply put, for every rifle you own, you need to have at least one sling for it. Different activities call for different slings. We’re guessing you don’t want to risk dropping your rifle during any of them. In general, there are three kinds of slings:
- Single point: These are good for when you’re doing something shooting-intensive, like taking a defensive carbine class. Otherwise, with the way your rifle hangs on a single point, the magazine will smash your junk if you don’t have a hand on the rifle at all times.
- Two-point: These are the go-to for most everyone and are the best all-arounders for tactical shooting, hiking, and everything in between.
- Three-point: A three-pointer is great for when you’re going to be covering some serious ground, because you can carry your gun like a backpack. However, they’re still quick to get into action if a bear sneaks up behind you.
AR Slings
The AR-15 is the most adaptable and customizable rifle platform there is, and there’s a world of slings designed with the AR in mind. There are multiple attachment points and styles that make it easy to find the perfect sling.
QD (quick disconnect) are the norm for today, but some like HK clips, paraclips, and even the traditional attachment points that you thread your sling through. All of these and more are viable. You might need to try a number of different options before settling on one that works, but we’ve picked out a group of winners that will satisfy the needs of 95% of shooters.
AK Slings
No matter what kind of AK you’ve got, you need a sling for it. Whether you’ve got an unmolested the-way-Kalashnikov-intended rifle or a tacti-cool example, you still need a sling.
For what it’s worth, we understand the folks who sympathize with the “NYET! Rifle is fine” crowd. You might not want to add a ton of gizmos like lights and optics, but remember this rifle was standardized in 1947. That’s almost 80 years ago. If you’re still using the original sling for your AK that was probably cut from a starving cow outside Stalingrad, it’s time for an upgrade.
Keep your irons and your wooden furniture, but for Pete’s sake, consider a sling better than the standard issue. Besides, there are a ton of better options on the market now.ˇ

9mm range ammo has been hard to find at a good price. Being retired USMC I don’t have a lot of money saved up. To have a company support veterans and have good prices is what I have been looking for. - ML

I finally found an ammo company online that cares about me. Most just are salesmen with zero customer service. Pro Armory I thank you ! - TF

A Sling For Every Occasion
A good sling is an essential accessory for any firearm enthusiast, whether you're a hunter, a competitive shooter, or just someone who enjoys spending time at the range. A high-quality sling can help you carry your rifle comfortably, stabilize your aim for more accurate shots, and even allow you to quickly transition to a secondary weapon if needed.
At Pro Armory, we offer a wide selection of slings for rifles and shotguns, all made from durable materials and designed to provide reliable performance in the field.
Non-Padded Slings
These are your regular slings, made of canvas or another durable, flexible material. They come in all manner of colors, patterns, and attachment points. Most modern slings feature some sort of quick-adjust tab or triglide, which is extremely handy when you need to go from standing/walking to shooting quickly or vice versa.
Being able to slip out more slack for greater maneuverability in an instant is a huge advantage in both speed and comfort. One second you might be standing around shooting the breeze, or walking along with your rifle cinched tight so it doesn’t bang all over you — and the next you need to deploy it. A sling can’t get in the way when you’re trying to react quickly and take something (or someone) down.
Padded Slings
These are the Cadillacs of slings. As the name implies, these have some type of padding sewn inside of the canvas where the sling rests on your shoulder.
Quality slings have a non-porous foam that won’t soak up water when wet. Why the hell does that matter? Because a water-soaked sling adds weight to your rig, which causes pain on your shoulders — it’ll also stink after a while as mildew starts to grow in the fabric.
A padded sling is a must for heavier rifles like AR-10s and some AK variants. They’re also useful if you’re going to be hiking or rucking more than usual. Besides offering some give as you walk, the padded portion of the sling is wider than a non-padded sling, which distributes the weight of the gun over more of your shoulder (so it doesn’t feel like it’s cutting into you).
Frequently Asked Questions
The best sling is the one that works best for you. To find this out, know what you’ll be doing most often with your rifle. If you’re doing A LOT of shooting, a single-point is good. If you’ll be shooting but also carrying it a bit, go for a two-point sling. If you’re gonna be covering lots of miles before you shoot anything, look into a three-point sling.
Like all rifles, the AK-47 needs a sling. Sure, you can go with a surplus leather number. However, most are all dried up and not comfortable by default. Get a modern one that uses the built-in attachment points that every AK has nowadays.
Yes, yes, and yes. Whether you’re carrying your rifle for miles, taking a shooting class, or anything in between, a sling is 100% necessary.

Don’t Be a Ding-a-Ling: Put a Sling on that Thing
In case it hasn’t sunk in yet — you NEED a sling on your rifle. Whether you’re sporting an AR or an AK, a sling is an essential piece of equipment. To not use one is like wearing shoes without laces. Sure, you can do it, but they’re more likely to fly off your feet the moment you encounter an intense situation.
